Read: Psalms 119:10-12

The apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith (Luke 17:5).

Faith Cometh By Hearing

I am hungry for the fullness of the Holy Spirit. I remember that “faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God” (Romans 10:17), so I open my heart to hear what God would say to me from His Word.

“Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean… A new heart also will I give you… and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh… And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them” (Ezekiel 36:25-27).

“And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?” (Luke 11:9-10, 13)

“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it” (I Thessalonians 5:23-24).

My glad heart can only sing, Thank You, Lord, for these “exceeding great and precious promises.” My faith takes hold. By Thy grace I have become a partaker of the divine nature (II Peter 1:4). “Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift” (II Corinthians 9:15).

All to Jesus I surrender; Now I feel the sacred flame. Oh, the joy of lull salvation! Glory, glory to His name!
